Homebred Competition Horses
Aeros
1999 Hanoverian Gelding
Sire:  Arrian (Al Capone/Orbisxx)
Dam:  Wall Street (Wenzel/Aderlass)

I bought Aeros when he was four months old, and that is how I met Hanoverian breeders Dick and Judy Sleavin.  He has the same dam as Dax and Dunin Bradstreet.  Later the three of us formed the Dunin' Partnership in order for me to show the amazing mare Dunin'.

Aeros is a proud horse and an extravagant mover.  He is so much fun to ride and handles like a luxury sports care... with a mind of his own on occasion!
Latest show news: Aeros made his 3rd Level debut in July.
FEINER FRISBEE
2001 Hanoverian Gelding
Feiner Stern x Darra (Dederick/Mandolin)

Frisbee is my pride and joy.  I bred, raised, and started him under saddle.  I have done all of his training and showing and count my lucky stars to have a horse like him in my life.  Frisbee has a huge heart and is good because he wants to be!   The same year he competed at Dressage at Devon, he helped me teach my visiting niece to post the trot.  What a saint!

Latest show news:
Frisbee made his Third Level debut at the 2009 Dallas Dressage Fall Show.  He earned a 65.6 to win his Sunday class and he named Third Level Champion!  Frisbee showed twice in 2009. His other show was the CTDS Bluebonnet show where he won both of his Second level tests with a 64 and 67.

Dior Noir
2006 Hanoverian Filly
Sire:  De Niro,  2008 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year (Donnerhall/Akzent II)
Dam:  Dunin' Bradstreet (Diamont/Wenzel/Aderlass)

This little black beauty is an exciting prospect for the future.   If she is anything like her incredible Mom, and/or her famous Dad,  I will be ecstatic!   De Niro was trained to Grand Prix by the age of 7 and is leading sire of World Champion FEI Young Horses and Grand Prix horses like Dablino.  Dunin was my favorite horse to show ever and so fun to ride.
Latest Show News:

Di Amore
1993 Hanoverian Mare
Diamont x Mary Frances K xx (Souper Spoon)

Di Amore is my first home-bred and my first horse to train up the levels to FEI.  I started her under saddle and have done all of her training, although she might say that actually she has done all of my training!

Together we have earned the USDF Bronze medal, and we are working on the Silver.  We have the fourth level scores and are working at Prix St. Georges now.  The photo at left is from our Prix St. George debut. Dia also has a gift for piaffe and passage (which she first discovered upon seeing my neighbors spotted miniature donkeys)!
Frisbee the lovebug!

Could you guess?  That's Dia with her Mom!
GRAF SALZBURG
2004 Hanoverian Gelding
Sire: Graf Top II  (Graf Grannus/Calypso II/Gotthard)
Dam:  Salzburg (Spartan/Wenzel/Bleep xx)

Gratzi 17-3 hands tall!  Fortunately he is a gentle giant.

Gratzi was sadly orphaned at birth.  He was bred to be an international show jumper.  His dam Salzburg, a half sister to Stakkato, was an extraordinarily beautiful and kind mare.  Dick Sleavin raised and adored Graf and we were hopeful that Graf would become our next dressage competition horse under the Dunin' Partnership.  I hope to pursue that dream, but will let Gratzi decide if he'd rather be a showjumper!

Latest Show News
Gratzi finally made it to the show ring at the 2009 DDC Fall Schooling Show.  He got a 71% on his very first test of his career!  He also won Training Level Open Show High Point!

GUNSMOKE
1992 Hanoverian Gelding
Sire:  Gaspano
Dam:  Mary Francis K. xx

Okay, he's not a show horse anymore, but he is definitely the farm show off!  His daily exhibitions are a must see! In addition to his ad lib airs above the ground, he loves to snuggle and perform some amazing tricks.

I raised and trained Gunsmoke to second level, but a back injury that he had sustained as a yearling in a horse trailer limited his ability to go further.

P.S.
Meet working-student-for-the-summer Ryan Reynolds.  Ryan has grown up and gotten a real (cool one with Apple) job now, but Gunsmoke and I miss her!

Darrra
1989 Hanoverian Mare
Premium Oldenburg Mare book
Dederick/Mandolin/Meyerling

Beautiful Darra was my first Hanoverian, my first young horse, and my first horse I showed in recognized competition.  She was also my first to start under saddle and train - she made it easy!  She was great in the show ring too... winning champion or reserve at all of her dressage shows.  She finished 4th in the nation for Hanoverians competing at Training level! We were beginning to show first level when a knee injury from a crash in the pasture ended her soundness.  Darra produced two foals. Heartbreakingly, we lost the beautiful, completely adored, filly Freesia after a pasture accident.   Darra's second foal, Frisbee, is part angel!

Career Highlights

Frisbee placed 2nd in the Suitability for Dressage class as a 5 year old at Dressage at Devon!

Frisbee finished 10th in the nation for the 2006 USDF Horse of the Year in the Materiale 4&5 year old Stallions and Geldings division!  He would also have ranked 7th in 2005 but a hurricane delayed our final show.

Frisbee qualified to compete at Devon in the FEI 5-Year-Old Born in the USA class where we finished 6th.

Golden Oldies...
Frisbee and Dia summer 2009!
